The Happy Vixen's Halloween Haunted Manor

Tuesday

2-4PM: "Undead"

Events at the Happy Vixen are never really dead. And tonight, it takes on a new meaning as we have our "Undead" event. Come as a vampire, zombie, ghost, or whatever else that just won't die (besides Disco). DJ JB, our spirited DJ, will spin the tunes.

4-6 PM: "Villains"

No matter how hard your try, no matter what you do, the world not only refuses to see what you've accomplished or capable of accomplishing, it seems to laugh at you as it punches you in the face, take what you've done away, and give the credit to someone else. Well, you're not going to stand for it any more. You're through playing Mister Nice Guy. You're going to take what's rightfully yours, and *make* the world acknowledge you. They'll call you evil, they'll call you a bad guy, they'll call you a villain. But you don't care, not any more. You're finally respected, even if it's out of fear. There's just one problem, those do-gooders trying to bring you to "justice." Where were they when the world was laughing at you? Well, if you show the world those "heroes" can't stop you, it'll cower in your presence.

It's our Villains event at the HV Haunted Manor. Come as a favorite (or most love to hate) villain, or perhaps a minion. The Dragon Crew, the fierce dragon Geerkil who desires to kidnap women, and the Joker-suited JB Raccoon will spin the tunes.

6PM - 8PM: "Anything But Clothing"

In this interesting fashion challenge, at the HV Haunted Manor, come dressed in something other than clothing, or rather something not intended to be clothing, such as a barrel, a sack, or whatever comes to mind. Our awkwardly-dressed DJ Aroooo will spin the tunes.

It's a trip to the dark side as the HV Haunted Manor has it's "Dark" event this Halloween. Get your dark avatars, your dark outfits, or both. So don't be afraid of the dark. DJ Applebloom will light the way with her tunes.

It's our "Stripes vs Spots" event. Get your spotted or striped avatars, outfits, or both. It's time to show your stripes, or look "spot on." Put on your best look and head on over. The Dragon Crew spins the tunes, even as the "spot"light is on them.

It's a slight twist on the Medieval Fantasy tales of old as we have a new theme: "Wizards and Lizards." Come as a magic user of old, or one of the scaly beings they either fought or allied with, such as dragons, kobolds, naga, and more. DJ Snowbuns spins the tunes.

Today, things are getting a little hairy at the Happy Vixen as we hold our "Crazy/BigHair" event. Come in a wild hairstyle, a huge set of hair that would be a barber's nightmare, or hair that otherwise stands out. (Fuzzball Ortega is overqualified and can't enter). DJ Applebloom spins the tunes.

Our DJ Snowbuns will have you "sweating to the oldies" (and a few not so oldies) with her tunes.

Pony Gathering

Following the two official events on Sunday October 28 at the HV Haunted Manor, there was an impromptu pony party when several women switched from their furry avatars to join DJ Snowbuns, whom was already in pony form, for a total of eight ponies.

With Halloween just a few days away, maybe someone told the equines there'd be bobbing for apples.

Maru at Cutlass

Marusame Ari, better known by her Sunweaver friends as "Maru," and labeled "The Pink Wonder" by yours truly, used to be a frequent sight with her black and pink red panda/wah avatar, later appearing more in this pink mesh avie. But lately, not so much, dropping by only once in a while. She would explain when she dropped by the other night that her Internet provider now caps how much data she can use without being charged extra fees, and Second Life is quite a "bandwith hog" to quote an earlier article. Hopefully this will change soon.

The Dragon Crew provides the tunes for those with a brain for music.

Our vampyric bunny DJ Snowbuns provides the tunes as she sucks the juices from carrots. So don't hide in the shadows. There's a good time at "stake." We'll have a "bloody" good time. Skunk Night at Studio 86

Taken at Montecito Bay's Studio 86. DJ Moff/Moffetmephit, as his name implies, started out as a skunk in Second Life. More recently, he's usually in his Crux avatar. But occasionally he takes on his old look. And one night on stage recently, Lem Aiko and Emorald, decided to join him in the black and white. Aroma Therapy (Myloebony44 Resident) did so as well. So it was the sweet smell of comradary.

6-8 PM: "Squirrels and Wah"

October is the month for pumpkin spice. So we're having an event for the "pumpkin spice raccoons" out there, the red pandas/wah. We're also including squirrels, at least those who aren't busy gathering nuts before it's winter. Get a pump- er, wah or squirrel avatar, or something like a shoulder pet or t-shirt. The Dragon Crew will be spinning the tunes, and as they call themselves "The Epic Failure Show," give them a "wah-wah-waaaaahhhhhh...."

Until after Halloween, events will be held not at the beach club, but the Haunted Manor

2-4PM: "Murder, Monsters, and Mayhem"

Can't decide on a murder mystery or monster movie? Here's where they come together with "Murder, Monsters, and Mayhem." Dress up as a killer from a mystery story, a vicious monster, or one of the police and detectives on the case. DJ JB provides the musical mayhem.

4-6 PM: "Horned"

It's our horned event. Come as a critter with horns such as a goat, bovine, gazelle, or perhaps some mythical creature such as unicorns. DJ JB and our horned dragon Geerkil spin the tunes. Come out and take this event by the horns.

It's an event to go to the dogs with as we have our "Foxes and Wolves" night. Come as a fox, or come as a wolf, anthro or feral. Will the foxes cunningly walk away with the prize, or will the wolves' dogged determination run away with it? You decide. Our wolfish DJ Aroooo spins the music.

The weather forcasts calls for a freak storm at the club. But this isn't just any storm, it's a "Sharknado!" But don't panic *too* much as the two-legged variety came to dance, not chow down on "long pig." Dress up in a shark avatar, a raincoat, some other sea gear, have a wearable pet fish, or have a weapon handy (but on your belt or back) in case any run-of-the-mill hungry shark shows up. So come on out of the water, and be careful about what you borrow money from.

Yesterday was NASA's 60th anniversary. So in it's honor, our event will be "Space." Come as an astronaut (or cosmonaut), a scientist, a robot or space alien, or just come in a souvenir NASA T shirt. So don't be "spaced out." Get on your rocket ship and fly on over. DJ JB provides the "far out" tunes.

Come as one of these most comical of the comic book heroes, or make up your own. Our DJ Tech heroically spins some tunes

Or you can dress up as an assistant/student, one of their creations, or one of the villagers with the pitchforks. DJ Grease gets scientific with his tunage.
